Many people in business welcome repeat customers and that seems to be the case for vacation property owners and managers too.
One way to get this repeat business is to make sure that guests have the best possible time when they are staying at your property. Of course, some things are beyond your control, the weather for instance, but other small and inexpensive touches may cause your guest to come again or to refer other people to you.
Personalized greeting
If you live near by or can have someone act on your behalf (the housekeeper for instance) then leave a local picture, postcard or small note personally welcoming your guests. This note might also contain a contact number where you can be reached in case of any problems.
Consider a small gift
This usually takes the form of one or two food items. Again use local items if possible as this will not only support the local economy, but will also give your guests a sense of items that are representative of the area.
Check up on your guests
If the property has a phone then consider giving your guests a call after a day or so to see if there's anything they need. Sometimes a feature of the property may be self-evident to you as the owner/manager but a guest may be having a hard time using or accessing it.
