Nestled on over 21 acres in the mountains of Mendocino County, natural beauty abounds - clean air, pure spring water, stately trees and a bounty of wildlife. A blanket of bright stars waits to envelop you while you soak up the quietude. There is no rush or hurry, no traffic to tolerate. It’s the ideal retreat from the real world. Meadowood Cottage is the perfect destination for couples desiring the utmost of privacy, extended stays, families or small groups. The two bedrooms and full bathroom with tub, shower, heated-towel bar, and hair dryer are upstairs. The master bedroom is a warm chocolate brown color with red accents and botanicals. The king-sized bed is made of hand-forged iron with copper accents and the picture window overhead offers a beautiful view of treetops and blue skies. There is a spacious whirlpool for two set in the bedroom - for parents to indulge in when children are sleeping snug in the second bedroom. The extra bedroom upstairs is a cheery yellow color with green and pink touches. The twin iron beds have cozy down comforters and a skylight adds brightness to the surroundings. A handpainted border of flowers and butterflies will spark the imagination of youngsters. Lounge in the spacious livingroom (the sofa converts to a queen bed if needed) and enjoy your meals in the diningroom alcove or outside on the deck. There's plenty of room for play in the backyard and chances are you'll see plenty of deer passing through. The livingroom has a cozy fireplace for snuggling on cold nights - you'll find hot cocoa mix and fresh coffee beans in the kitchen. We've also provided a selections of games for all ages. Puzzles, DVDs and videos are available in the media room and the satellite tv has premium movie channels as well as a DVD player and VCR. A CD player is also provided for your use. Laundry facilities and a half bathroom are located downstairs. The kitchen is fully equiped with a full-size refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, utensils, dishes, and bakeware. If you're looking to have a quiet Thanksgiving or Christmas - you're all set in Meadowood Guesthouse! Just 8 miles away, explore Willits - one of California’s most authentic old-time towns. Downtown offers a wide variety of dining options, as well as shops and museums. All aboard! Enjoy a ride through the towering redwoods on the historic Skunk Train - we'll pack a picnic for you!
