Vacation Rental DescriptionThis old victorian farm house near Clear Lake, California will be available from July 11 to September 11, 2004 for weekly rentals. We are a two hour's drive north of San Francisco, so it is near enough for a day trip. Lakeport is a small town on the edge of Clear Lake. This home is especially well-suited for families with children as it is in a small town with a feeling of the country. It has 2 kitchens, one large and one small, both are newly remodeled. It has cable television, a VCR and a DVD player and computer access for checking e-mails. Pets are welcome to stay in the yard and out-buildings, but are not allowed in the house. We have no farm animals, just the wild kind. We have 3 double beds, two double futons, one set of bunk beds, two couches and two sleeping pads for children. Lakeport is quite hot in the summer, so we have a small swimming pool (15 ft diameter), suitable for staying cool and young children's play. It is covered when not in use. Our home is also air conditioned. We are four blocks from Clear Lake, with a beautiful view from many windows and porches. Our favorite lake for swimming (Blue Lakes) is a short drive away. Both Blue Lakes and Clearlake have excellent fishing. We are close to Snow Mountain wilderness and other pristine hiking and biking trails that have not yet been discovered by hundreds of tourists. We have two bicycles for your use. We have lots of great restaurants within walking distance. Parking is available for up to 4 cars.
