Vacation Rental DescriptionThis 3 bedroom/2 bath beach house is less than a 10 minute walk to the beach. Newly remodeled, it is located in the beach town of Itaipava on the Highway to the Sun. Enjoy some of the best and the safest beaches in Brazil at the best prices! Thousands of Brazilians flock to Itaipava and surrounding beaches, especially during summer from December through February. Local residents are friendly and welcoming, and the prices are very reasonable. Itaipava is located about 400 kilometres north of Rio de Janeiro and about an hour south of Vitoria, the capital city of Espirito Santo. Major airlines connect Vitoria to Rio daily. From Vitoria, a number of busses run daily to the beach communities on the Rodovia do Sol. Rental cars from major companies such as AVIS are available at the airport in Vitoria.The beaches in this area are sheltered in small bays making them very attractive for all kinds of water play. Some surfing takes place nearby. During holiday season the beach comes alive with partying and dancing as the triolectrico (music on wheels) moves along the beaches. At other times of the year there are numerous small bars and eating establishments that line the beaches. Boats can be chartered for fishing, or to visit the island in the middle of the neighboring bay at Itaoca, a 5 or 10 minute walk down the beach. Day trips can be planned to Vitoria to view the maritime and other museums. More extensive shopping can be done in Vitoria, or Cachoeiro de Itapemirim. Visitors can dine on the local fish produced in famous black pottery, eat the many varieties of local fruit, or enjoy the famous Brazilian BBQ known as Churrasco (chu HA sco).
