Vacation Rental DescriptionA brand new apartment on the top floor of a house built in the grounds of an 18th century villa, just above the delightful village of Argegno, on the western shores of Lake Como, offering wonderful views of Bellagio, Comacina island and the 'Balbianello' promontory. (DO NOT miss a visit to the Villa Balbianello during your stay.)Everything is new, but fits in perfectly with the style of the houses built along the lake and in the mountains over the last centuries, with wood beam ceilings and Italian tiles in the living area, kitchen and bathrooms. (High chair and crib are available for small children) Villa Panoramica is a 2 bedroom apartment with two double bedrooms, plenty of closet space and in the living area there is a double sofa-bed. It can sleep 6 people, it has two bathrooms, (one en suite) and open plan kitchen/dining and living area and a wonderful terrace where you can enjoy 'al fresco' dining and sunbathing in complete pricacy, while admiring the natural beauty of this paradise on earth. The terrace is equiped with dining table, chairs, sun loungers and a 'swing chair'. It is ideal for all types of holiday, winter and summer and for short breaks, business or shoping trips. The apartment is only a 15 minute drive away from Cernobbio and the world famous 'Villa D'Este and Villa Erba, important trade fair centre. The City of Como is 20 minutes away and of course Como is the silk capital of Italy so there are lots of silk and textile factory outlets there. Milan is 1 hours drive away, so it is also ideal for combining a holiday with the world famous 'Monza Grand Prix' or any other sporting or business event you may wish to attend in Milan. All travel information will be provided to guests who book the 'Villa Panoramica', as will an information book (provided in the apartment) giving lots of local information, local tours and suggersted walking itineries in the area and also boat trips. It is also 5 minutes drive to the 'Villa Oleandra', the villa belonging to George Clooney and 15 minutes drive to the beautiful villa owned by the Versace family. Villa Panoramica is also ideal for those who do not want to be troubled with driving in Italy. The local bus stops directly below the villa and so does the local boat. There is also a public bus service from Milan Malpensa airport and Como is also well served by the international train service. We can also offer an excellent taxi service with English speaking drivers. Switzerland is 45 minutes drive away, in fact Argegno sits at the foot of the valley which joins Lake Como to Lake Lugano in Switzerland, Campione d?Italia, with its famous 'casino' and lovely lake front walk. The jet-set ski resort of St. Moritz is a two hour drive away.
