Vacation Rental DescriptionAt over 1000 square ft, our home will comfortably house two couplesor one large family. Spend a relaxing, fun-filled getaway at our home in the Wintergreen resort, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Wintergreen is a year-round retreat, and we are conveniently located close to a variety of activities. We are 100 yards from the clay tennis courts and 200 yards from the first tee of the Devil's Knob golf course. For skiing, simply hop on the shuttle 50 yards from the front door. The Wintergarden Spa is a short stroll away. For those who simply want to unwind at home, we offer a whirlpool tub, a spacious deck, a complete kitchen, a warm fireplace, or an assortment of games, books, and local history. Kids will enjoy the wide variety of activities organized around skiing, golfing, and horseback riding. We also make good use of the babysitting services! Access is easy: simply descend a half flight of stairs to reach our unit. Our location at the end of the North Ridge complex allows for additional windows featuring views to the west and north. At 1015 square feet, this spacious floorplan accommodates beds for five (two queens and one single), plus a sofa bed in the living room. This is ideal for two couples or a large family. For those guests that want to avoid climbing stairs, this unit is your answer. Simply descend 8 steps from the parking lot and youýre at our front door. The entire floorplan occupies a single floor. Our corner location means that we have more windows. Our extra bedroom windows give us a view of Crawford Knob to the north. Living The spacious living room is 15x17, and features a sofa and love seat. The sofa folds out into a double bed. Build a crackling fire in our fireplace, which has a raised, slate hearth. Firewood is supplied at the front of the bulding for free. For entertainment, a VCR and DVD player await anyone who wishes to bring their own movies or CDs. You can also rent titles in the valley or at the Blackrock Market. Cable TV is included. We also have a supply of board games and toys for the toddlers. Enjoy a view to the west and north from our porch, which is accessed either through the living room or dining room. At 8x15, there is enough space for a large gathering around the table, or try out the lounge chair. Kitchen/Dining While we enjoy the local dining spots, we always cook at least major meal at home. Feel free to make yourself home in our 8x11 kitchen, which has all the necessary appliances. There is plenty of countertop space, and our oak cabinets are stocked with all the tools, supplies and spices to create your own masterpiece. At 10x10, the dining room comfortably seats 6. The view from the windows is to the north, over the clay tennis courts. There is also a door to the porch. Bedrooms Both bedrooms are generously proportioned at approximately 12x15. The master features a queen bed and TV, or an easy chair for quiet study. The second bedroom will sleep 3, containing a queen and a single bed. Both rooms have windows featuring views to the north. Bathrooms/Laundry Our bathrooms are spacious and feature cultured marble vanity tops and marble tile floors. The master bath features a Jacuzzi tub. Both bathrooms have mirrored walls. Pack light and plan to use our full sized washer and dryer. An iron is also supplied for your convenience.
