Vacation Rental Description

Located 20 minutes from Maggie Valley NC, this converted gristmill
has a panoramic view of the mountains and farm lands in this scenic
valley just down the mountain from the Appalachian Trail. This
pastoral valley is only minutes to all of the mountain attractions and
activities that lure visitors to the Great Smoky Mountains - yet away
from all the tourist crowds! Just 7 miles from Exit 15 off Interstate
40 to your mountain retreat. The cabin was converted from a gristmill
that served the local Fines Creek community in the early 1900's. The
building is constructed of Wormy Chestnut wood inside and out; the
mill stone was driven by a gasoline engine. Please feel free to enjoy
our peaceful mountain valley with it's babbling brook and cows mooing
in the fields nearby. Seed feeders and Humming bird feeders bring
flocks of birds outside your screened porch for your listening &
viewing pleasure.
This vacation rental has:
An open studio-style of our guesthouse with approximately 500 square
feet and consists of a fully equipped country kitchen, modern
bathroom, a queen bed with linen, full family room area with a queen sleeper
sofa, and a cozy wood burning stove. Washer and dryer, microwave,
coffee maker, kitchen utensils, telephone, new 25' satellite TV, and
firewood are provided for your convenience. Just bring your own
personal items & food! There are also games, books, charcoal grill,
hammock, picnic table, croquet set, horseshoe set, but most of all
peace & quiet!
