Vacation Rental DescriptionYou will feel yourself at home in this villa with its three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen, big wooden provencal garden, and private swimming pool. It has also a private electrical gate entrance (with entry code) and a private garage.The villa is located 1.5 kilometers from the center of the beautiful village of Mazan. It is in the Vaucluse region in Provence, 30-minutes drive from Avignon, next to the Mount Ventoux mountain (called the 'Giant of Provence'). The village Mazan is well-known for its Marquis de Sade castle. Daily local markets in all the villages feature the crafts of local artisans (pottery, textiles, and Provencale dolls [Santons]) as well as olives, fruits, vegetables, cheeses, breads, etc., which constitute the base of the Mediterranean healthy diet. Every weekend, in the nearby town of l'Isle-sur-Sorgue is an 'Antics' market. The Michelin Map #236 shows the area. Mazan is just 30 minutes from Avignon, whose famous theatre festival in July attracts thousands of people from around the world. It is also just an hour drive from the Mediterranean Sea. Hiking trails can be found in the Monnt Ventoux, the Luberon, or the Dentelles de Montmirail (Montmirail laces). These provide excellent places for mountain bikes which can be rented in many villages. Hundreds of excellent restaurants can be found in the Vaucluse/Drome region circuit. Activities and attractions include swimming, biking, hiking, cinema, and shopping. Sightseeing in Avignon (with its famous bridge and Popes' Palace), Roman ruins at Vaison-la-Romaine, Arles, Orange, Nimes, and Pont du Gard. Nearby canyons at Ardeche, Nesque, and Verdon. Forty kilometers from the Luberon National Park. Daily country markets in all nearby towns. Concerts in local churches and halls. English and American movies at the Utopia Manutention cinema in Avignon or in the cinema theatre of Carpentras (ten-minutes drive from Mazan). And do not forget that the Mediterranean Sea is just an hour drive from Mazan.
